Originally the 'Edna May' Tavern was relocated from the town site of Bonnievale WA, and reconstructed in Westonia in response to the development of the Edna May Gold Mine in the early 1910s. Nowadays, timber-framed hotel in the Wheatbelt, the 'Westonia Tavern' is the only pub still operating and is the last remaining single-storey, and is unique in WA as a relocated timber and corrugated iron hotel.
It was one of three such establishments to service the gold industry in Westonia at the time.
It has operated continuously as a hotel since 1915 and with new owners, it is well underway to being done up & restored!.
